A Falmouth native, Dr. Bettney studied pathobiology at the University of Connecticut. Following her time in Storrs, she journeyed across the pond to undertake her veterinarian doctorate at the University of Glasgow. While in Scotland, Dr. Bettney explored numerous countries receiving first hand clinical experience on a wide variety of farm and domestic animals. Throughout her travel and time studying abroad she always knew Maine would call her home. When not ruffling the fur of her patients, Sharon can be found exploring the trails of Maine, tasting every new restaurant in the Midcoast area, or having a night in with a book and her feline companion, Cat.
